Imo State is located in the South East geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Owerri, the state capital, is known as the 'Entertainment Capital of Nigeria.' The state is home to the Igbo people and has a rich cultural heritage. It borders Rivers State to the south, giving it access to oil resources. Imo is an important agricultural state, producing palm oil, yam, cassava, and vegetables. The Oguta Lake and Mbari Cultural and Art Centre are among its notable attractions.
